Convert Multiple PDFs to Word (Batch)

Convert several PDF files to Word in one go. No need to do them one by one.

Batch Conversion in One Session

Multiple documents

If you have several PDFs to convert—reports, contracts, or chapters—you don’t need to process them one at a time. CandlyConverter lets you add multiple PDF files in a single session. Each file is converted separately, and you can download each Word document as it’s ready. That saves time when you’re handling a set of documents for a project, a course, or a client. There may be limits on how many files you can add per session (e.g. depending on server load or file size); check the converter page for current limits.

Go to our PDF to Word converter and add as many files as you need.

How It Works

Open the converter, then add your PDFs by clicking “Add files” or dragging and dropping. You can select multiple files at once from your computer. Each PDF is processed in turn; when a conversion is done, you’ll see an option to download the Word file. You can leave the page open and download each result as it completes, or wait until all are done. Files are processed on our servers; we don’t store them after conversion. The same quality and formatting rules apply as for single-file conversion—text PDFs typically convert to editable Word with layout preserved where possible.

For step-by-step instructions, see How It Works.

Tips for Batch Conversion

Use clear file names so you can match each Word file to its PDF. Keep individual file sizes within our limits to avoid timeouts. If a file fails (e.g. corrupted or password-protected), you can remove it and try again or convert it separately. For very large batches, you may need to split them across multiple sessions. We don’t require an account, so you can start right away—just upload, wait, and download. Your documents are sent over HTTPS and are not stored after processing.

Who Uses Batch Conversion?

Students converting a stack of course readings, assistants turning a folder of signed contracts into Word for redlining, and teams preparing multiple reports for editing—all benefit from converting several PDFs in one go. No need to open each file individually or switch between tabs. One session, multiple downloads. CandlyConverter stays free for normal use and runs in your browser, so you can batch convert from any device with an internet connection.
