How does the PDF to Word conversion work?
We use advanced algorithms to extract text, images, and formatting from your PDF and convert them into an editable Word document (DOCX), preserving layout where possible. The conversion runs on our servers; you only need to upload the file and download the result.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Files are transmitted over HTTPS and processed in a secure environment. We do not store your documents after conversion; they are deleted from our servers after processing. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. For more details, see our
Privacy Policy.
Can I convert multiple files at once?
Yes. You can add multiple PDFs and convert them in one session. Each file is processed separately and can be downloaded individually. There may be limits on the total number of files per session depending on server load; check the converter page for current limits.
Do I need to install any software?
No. All conversion runs in your browser and on our servers. You only need an internet connection and a modern browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). There is nothing to download or install for basic conversion.
What formats do you support?
We accept PDF as input and output DOCX (Microsoft Word) and, where applicable, DOC. We focus on PDF to Word conversion only. See our
Sitemap for an overview of all pages and tools.
Is there a file size limit?
Free conversion supports files up to a certain size (e.g. 200MB depending on the tool). Larger files may take longer to process or may require a premium plan if we introduce one. Check the converter page for current limits.
Why did my conversion fail or look wrong?
Conversion can fail or produce imperfect results if the PDF is corrupted, password-protected, or contains unusual elements (e.g. non-embedded fonts, complex vector graphics). Scanned PDFs may need OCR first. Try a smaller or simpler file, or
contact us with details so we can help.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can use the PDF to Word converter without signing up or creating an account. We may offer optional accounts in the future for saving preferences or conversion history; basic conversion will remain available without registration.
Is CandlyConverter really free?
Yes. Our core PDF to Word conversion is free for personal and general use within the stated file size and usage limits. We may introduce premium features later (e.g. for very large files or high-volume use), but the basic tool will stay free.
Where is my file processed?
Conversion is performed on our servers. We operate from the United States (Kearny, NJ). By using our service, your file is transmitted to and processed in the US. We do not store the file after processing.
